This three ingredient Nutella banana bread is the quickest, easiest and definitely the most delicious way of using up four over-ripe bananas. If you like banana bread and Nutella then you will love this recipe. Just add Nutella & flour to mashed over-ripe bananas and bake. It takes just 10 minutes to prepare.
This Nutella banana bread keeps for up to two days at room temperature (wrapped in clingfilm or in an airtight container) or up to five days in the fridge. It tastes lovely on it's own, but even better spread with a little extra Nutella.
Three Ingredient Nutella Banana Bread
- Prep Time: 10 minutes
- Baking Time: 40 minutes
- Makes: around 12 slices
Ingredients:
- 4 over-ripe bananas
- 250g Nutella (plus extra to serve if you like)
- 250g self-raising flour
- 1 tsp baking powder (optional - for a lighter cake)
- 2-3 tbsp milk (optional)
Method:
- Preheat the oven to 160 fan / 180 C / gas mark 4. Line a loaf tin with a loaf tin liner or baking paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, mash the bananas really well until smooth with a potato masher. Add the Nutella and mix until well combined.
- Sieve together the baking powder and flour and fold into the banana and Nutella mixture. The consistency should be that it just falls off a spoon. Add a splash of milk to loosen the batter if necessary.
- Pour the mixture into the loaf tin and bake for around 40 minutes until a skewer comes out clean. Leave to cool, slice and serve on it's own, or (if you're feeling indulgent), spread with Nutella.
